Eastman was married to Linda McCartney, Paul McCartney's first wife. He was a close advisor to the Beatles and helped them negotiate their recording contracts and other business deals.
However, Eastman's relationship with the Beatles became strained in the late 1960s. He was accused of putting his own interests ahead of the band's, and he was eventually fired by the Beatles in 1970.
Eastman Continued to Work as an Entertainment Lawyer
After his departure from the Beatles, Eastman continued to work as an entertainment lawyer. He represented a number of high-profile clients, including David Bowie, Elton John, and Michael Jackson.
Eastman died on June 10, 2023, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Linda McCartney, and his two children.
